Pirate Baseball Assigned to OHSAA DVII Group B (Defiance)

The OHSAA NWDAB recently announced the District assignments for Baseball and Continental was assigned to DVII Group A.  Group A will play their District Semifinal at Patrick Henry and District Finals at either Patrick Henry (against Group A Bryan District) or at Findlay (against Group D).  Teams assigned to Group A are Continental, Ft. Jennings, Holgate, Kalida, Leipsic, Miller City, North Baltimore, and Ottoville.  This is the same group of teams that tangled in the Patrick Henry DVII District last year.  Since there are 8 teams all teams will start the tournament in the Sectional Finals (hosted by the better seeded team).  This is the first year that Baseball will have a path to choose to the District Finals.  Teams in the potential Pirate tournament pathway are defending DVII Regional Runner Up Montpelier and Regional Semifinalist Miller City and New Regiel.
Sectional Tournament – May 18-May 23
District Tournament  – May 25-May 30
District Draw May 10
Group B Teams: Will draw into either Northwest 2 Patrick Henry or Northwest 4 Findlay
Schools: Continental, Ft. Jennings, Holgate, Kalida, Leipsic, Miller City, North Baltimore, Ottoville, (8)
Group A Teams: Will draw into either Northwest 1 Bryan or Northwest 2 Patrick Henry
Schools: Antwerp, Edgerton, Edon, Fayette, Hilltop, Montpelier, North Central, Pettisville, Stryker (9)
Group D Teams: Will draw into either Northwest 4 Findlay or Northwest 3 Margaretta
Schools: Arcadia, Arlington, Cory-Rawson, Hardin-Northern, McComb, New Riegel, Pandora-Gilboa, Vanlue (8)
