After 1 inning it was host Pandora Gilboa leading 1-0 against Continental Baseball on Monday night. The Pirates would take a 2-1 lead in the top of the second when Jayden Pitney would drive in a pair of runs with a double. It was all Rockets in the bottom of the second as they plated 8 runs to take a 9-2 lead. Both pitchers settled down and the game finished with no more run scored.
The Pirates had 5 hits with Jayden Pitney hitting a pair of double while driving in 2 runs. Sam Newsome pitched a complete game for the Pirates giving up 9 runs (8 runs earned) on 5 hits. Newsome struck out 12 Rockets while walking 3.
Continental falls to 1-9 (0-4 PCL) and host Fort Jennings in another PCL game on Tuesday. Pandora Gilboa improves 6-9 (2-2 PCL).
