Thursday had the Continental High Baseball team traveling east to McComb to take on the Panthers in a non league game. It was a great day to be a Pirate, as they Pirates battled back from a 1 run deficit to take home the win. The Pirates started the game out right by scoring 3 runs in their first at bat. The Panthers plated one in the bottom half of the first and then held the Pirates scoreless the next two innings. The Panthers took a 1 run lead in the bottom of the third. The Pirates regained the lead for good in the top of the fourth as they plated 2 to take a 1 run lead, 5-4. The Pirates added another run in the top of the fifth to take a 6-4 lead. Panthers made it a one run game in the bottom of the fifth by plating a run. The Pirates put the game away when they put up 6 runs in the 6th. Continental 12, McComb 5 final.
Gannon Prowant got the win in relief. Caleb Olds, Konnor Okuley, and Jarret Keck each had a single and drove in 2 runs each. The Pirates had 5 hits while the Panthers had 12.
Continental is now 1-2 and host Hicksville on Friday. McComb is now 3-4.
