Friday had the Continental High baseball team hosting Fort Jennings in Putnam County League action. The game was moved to Continental due to field conditions at Fort Jennings and had the Musketeers as the official home team. The Pirates took advantage of having the first at bat by putting 2 runs on the board. The game was then scoreless till the Pirates put up 9 in the top of the fifth. The Pirates held the Musketeers scoreless in the fifth for the 11-0 victory.
Blake Elkins got the win for the Pirates. Nick States had 4 singles and 3 RBIs to lead the Pirates. Elkins had 3 singles and 3 RBIs, Cole Bowers a double and 2 RBIs, Brady Dockery a single and RBI, Konnor Okuley a single and RBI. The Pirates had 11 hits to the Musketeers 3.
Continental improves to 6-11 (2-4 PCL) and hosted Columbus Grove on Saturday. Fort Jennings is 8-13 (2-4 PCL).
