On Friday, Continental High hosted Leipsic in a Putnam County League Baseball game. After holding the Vikings scoreless in their first at bat, the Pirates plated 3 runs in their half for a 3-0 lead after 1 inning. The Pirates put up an additional run in the fifth while holding the Vikings scoreless till their last at bat. A Viking rally in the seventh was stopped after 1 run for the Pirates 4-1 final.
Peyton Weller picked up the win for the Pirates. Weller had a double and 2 RBIs while Jarrett Keck also had a double. The Vikings outhit the Pirates 6-5.
Continental is now 5-14 (2-4 PCL) they will play at Pandora Gilboa on Tuesday in another PCL game. Leipsic falls to 7-14 (1-4 PCL).
