Monty Rayle earned Ohio Prep Sports Media Association’s all-Northwest District Boys Honorable Mention. Rayle led the Pirates with 247 points and was also named to the Putnam County League Second team. The Pirates finished their season at 4-19 (1-6 PCL). The Pirates were #7 seed in the Van Wert DVII District and lost their Sectional Tournament Final game to #2 seed Kalida. Kalida ended up finishing as the OHSAA DVII State runnerup as they went into tournament 11-11 and finished 17-12. The Wildcats had only 1 loss in the regular tournament in DVII and that was to the team that ended up State Champions Delphos St Johns. Others on the Pirates schedule that enjoyed a long tournament trail was Montpelier at the DVII Regional Finals (to Kalida). Lincolnview advanced to the DVI State Semifinals.
