
Pirates 39, Panthers 65
Tuesday it was a game of 2 halves as the visiting Continental High Boys Basketball kept close to Paulding but it was the Panthers who took control of the game in the second half. The Panthers outscored the Pirates 19-8 in the first quarter. The Panthers and Pirates tied at 11 in the second. Panthers 30-22 at half. It was all Panthers in the second half as they outscored the Pirates 17-8 in the third for a 47-30 lead. The Panthers doubled up on the Pirates in the 4th 18-9 for a 65-39 Panther final.
Nolan Cordes led the Pirates with 18 points hitting four 3 pointers. Tyson Clementz put in 6. Quinn Tegenkamp and Collin Hammond both scored 5 with Tegenkamp making a 3. Preston Wilson made a 3. Jackson Bidlack scored 2. The Pirates made six 3 pointers to the Panthers.
Continental falls to 2-4 and will travel to Patrick Henry on Thursday. Paulding improves to 3-1.

Pirates 40, Patriots 65
Thursday night Continental High Boys Basketball traveled to Patrick Henry for non league action. The Patriots entered the game undefeated while the Pirates were looking to even their record. A tight first quarter went to the Patriots 20-15. A closer second quarter also went to the Patriots 11-7. 31-22 Patriots at half. The Patriots extended their lead by 5 in the third quarter. Patriots 46-32. The Patriots took the final quarter and the game. Patriots 65-40 final.
Monty Rayle led the Pirates with 12. Nolan Cordes scored 10 points. Quinn Tegenkamp added 8. Tyson Clementz 6 Hammond 4. Continental falls to 3-5 and will host Edgerton on Saturday. Patrick Henry improves to 5-0.
