The Pirates Boys Soccer team closed out the season defense strong as they played to a pair of 0-0 ties against NorthWest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Division III ranked teams.

On Tuesday, the Blackbirds hosted the Pirates in a matchup of two ranked NWOSSCA teams on Tuesday. Pettisville entered the game ranked 8 with a 8-3-4 record while the Pirates came in ranked 7 with a 10-2-2 record. No goals were scored with the Pirates defense getting their 6th shutout of the season.
Contnental 0, Van Buren 0
On Saturday it was again another matchup between 2 ranked NWOSSCA teams as the Pirates traveled to Van Buren to take on the Black Knights. Van Buren, champions of the North Central Ohio Soccer Association are currenly ranked 5th while the Pirates are now ranked 7th. The teams battled to a scoreless draw as only 14 shots were taken. The Black Knights had 10 shots to the Pirates 4. Trevor Brecht had 4 saves for the Pirates
Continental is now 10-2-4 and will host Division III Sectional Final action on Thursday with the opponent being either Allen East or Paulding. Van Buren is now 13-2-1.
