Thursday Continental High played host to Fort Jennings in a Putnam County League Boys Soccer Showdown. In a game that saw the Pirates dominate the offensive action, it was the Pirates who hit the back of the net first. Cole Bowers took a Konnor Okuley pass and put it in the net at the 10:14 mark in the first half to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead. That was the only score in the first half.
Pirate Konnor Okuley came out and made it a 2 goal Pirate lead when he put in a Westin Okuley pass with 5 minutes gone in the second half. Mitchell Coleman made it 3-0 Pirates when he put a Noah Becher pass into the net with 12:16 to go in the game. Pirates 3, Mustketeers 0.
Continental out shot Fort Jennings 19-0.
Continental is now 4-2 and 2-0 in the Putnam County League. Fort Jennings falls to 1-4-1 and 0-1 PCL. Continental travels to Ottoville on Monday for another Putnam County League match.
