
Four games without a win, 3 losses and a tie, was a streak the Pirates Boys Soccer team was determined to end on Tuesday when they traveled to Lincolnview for a nonleague games. Continental came out fast as Wyatt Davis put in a Rhenn Armey shot 7:19 minutes into the game. A second Pirate goal came less than 7 minutes later when Noah Beecher hit the back of the net off a Westin Okuley pass. With a little over 18 minutes left in the half Rhenn Okuley scored for the Pirates to make it 3-0. The Pirates scoring for the day would end then Davis and Armey connected again with Davis getting his second goal and Armey second assist with just under 2 minutes left in the half. The Lancer would make it 4-1 at the halftime break when they scored with 35 second left. Both teams would be scoreless in the second half for a 4-1 Pirates final.
Continental had 24 shots on goal to the Lancers 3. Cody Auch and Konnor Knipp-Williams both had one save in the goal for the Pirates. Continental had 14 corner kicks to Lincolnview 1.
Continental improves to 5-3-1 and will host Kalida in a Putnam County League game. Post 541 will be having a tail gate party at the game. Lincolnview falls to 1-7-1.
