
Tuesday night Continental Boys Soccer picked up win 10 on the season defeating Van Buren. It was all Pirates in the first half as Collin Hammond picked up a hat track. Hamond scored 17 seconds into the game. The Pirates made it 2-0 with 29:45 left in the half when Hammond hit the back of the net off a pass from Rhettik Bowers. It was 3-0 Pirates with 15 minutes left in the game when Hammond put in his third goal of the game off a Jackson Bidlack pass. The Pirates put in the only goal of the second half with Monty Rayle scoring off a Hunter Varner pass. Pirates 4-0.
Collin Hammond led the Pirates with 3 goals. Monty Rayle scored 1 goal. Rhettik Bowers, Jackson Bidlack, and Hunter Varner picked up assists. Jayden Pitney picked up the shutout win in goal for the Pirates making 7 saves. The Pirates had a 17-7 advantage on shots on goal. Both teams took 2 corner kicks.
Continental improves to 10-1-2 and will host Bowling Green on Saturday at 5:00 (all Pirate students get in free, courtesy of the Blue & Gold Club). Van Buren falls to 5-5-2.
