A pair of goals in each half propelled the host Continental High Boys Soccer team to a 4-0 win over Lincolnview. The win makes the Pirates 5-1-1 in games against fellow DV teams. The Pirates got on the board with 21:22 left in the first half when Keenan Bowers delivered a crossing pass then Bain Stegbauer punched in from close range. With 8 minutes left in the half Collin Davis made multiple moves along the sideline and then made a crossing pass that Jackson Bidlack put in the net. Pirates 2-0 at half. With 29:34 Hunter Varner put in a shot from the 20 for an unassisted goal. Pirates 3-0. A great corner kick by Jackson Bidlack was headed in by Rhettik Bowers to put the Pirates up 4-0 with 6:57 left. Pirates 4-0 winner.
Jackson Bidlack led the Pirates with 1 goal and 1 assist. Bain Stegbauer, Hunter Varner, and Rhetik Bowers all scored single goals. Keenan Bowers and Collin Davis each got an assist. Jayden Pitney picked up the shutout win in goal for the Pirates. Continental had an 11-0 advantage on shots on goal and a 4-0 on corner kicks.
Continental improves to 5-3-2 and will travel to Kalida on Friday night with a Pirate win clinching at least a share of the PCL crown. Lincolnview falls to 2-7-1.
