On Tuesday Continental High Boys Soccer team 2 seniors both scored goals when they made the trip to Pettisville. Senior Bain Stegbauer got the Pirates on the board first as he hit the back of the net off a pass from Bruno Liarte with 10 minutes gone in the game. That would be the only score in the first half. Pirates 1-0. The Pirates took a 2-0 advantage with 26:16 left in the game when Rhettick Bowers scored off another Bruno Liarte assist. With 20 minutes left in the game the Pirates made it 3-0 when Senior Collin Davis got on the board off a Jackson Bidlack pass. Hunter Varner would score the Pirates final goal with 1:33 left. Collin Davis picked up the assist. Pirates 4-0 winner.
Collin Davis led the Pirates with a goal and an assist. Bain Stegbauer, Rhettik Bowers, and Hunter Varner also scored goals. Bruno Liarte had 2 assists while Jackson Bidlack had one.
Jayden Pitney picked up the shutout win in goal for the Pirates with 1 save. The Pirates had a 15-1 lead on shots on goal. The Pirates had 6 corner kicks.
Continental improves to 7-6-2 and will host Wauseon on Thursday for Senior night. Pettisville falls to 5-11.
