After having traveled to Lima Bath for years being in the Bath Kickoff Classic, the Wildcats made the trip to Continental to play the Pirates this time. The Wildcats had played at Continental many years before in OHSAA Tournament action. The Pirates took advantage of their opportunities to score as the converted 4 of their 11 shots on goal. Braxton Stegbauer got the Pirates on the scoreboard at 29:20 when he put in a pass from Rhenn Armey. Armey put the Pirates up 2-0 a little over 7 minutes later. The Pirates made it 3 goals in a 10 minute stretch when Collin Davis put a pass from Rhenn Armey in the net with 19:53 left in the half. That was all the scoring in the first half. Pirates 3-0 at the break.
Only 1 goals was scored in half when Pirate Collin Davis scored an unassisted with 29:14 left in the game. Pirates 4 Wildcats 0 final.
Collin Davis led the Pirates with a pair of goals. Rhenn Armey had 1 goal and 2 assists. Braxton Stegbauer had 1 goal.
Konnor Knipp Williams got the shut out win in the goal. Knipp Williams made 5 saves. Continental had an 11-5 advantage on shots on goal. Bath had 2 corner kicks to the Pirates 1.
Continental improves to 1-1 and will host Maumee Valley Country Day School on Thursday. Lima Bath falls to 0-1-1. The Wildcats won the JV game 2-1.
