
Continental High Girls Soccer ended their 2022 season as an OHSAA Division III Ottoville District Sectional Champion. The #6 seed Pirates defeated the #7 seed Coldwater for the Sectional Title. Next up was #1 seed Ottawa Glandorf. The Titans were ranked #4 in the last OSSCA Division III poll, are the 3rd largest school in Division III (Continental is the 11th smallest DIII school, 3rd smallest public school). The Pirates were shutout by the Titans 4-0 in a Ottoville District Semifinal. It was the Titans 12th consecutive shutout. The Titans would shutout the next 4 opponents on way to the State Championship. The Titans 16 consecutive shutouts set a new state standard. OG ended up giving up a goal in the second half to fall to Cincinnati Country Day as they fell 1-0 to finish as State Runner-up.
The Pirates finished their season 9-8-2. The Pirates placed 4th in the Putnam County League with a 2-2-1 record. Columbus Grove claimed the PCL title with a 4-0-1, Miller City was runner up with a 3-1-1 record. The Pirates finished the season scoring 43 goals, Pirate Senior Bryn Tegenkamp lead the Pirate offense with 17 goals. Tegenkamp was named to the Division III second team. Pirates gave up gave up 35 goals. Pirate Senior Marissa Becher was goalie in most of the Pirates games.
