On Thursday night Continental hosted a OHSAA DIII Girls Soccer Evergreen District Sectional semifinal. The Pirates came in with the #7 seed while Liberty Center was #8 seed in the 9 team District. The winner was likely to take on #1 seed and OSSCA #2 ranked team Ottawa Glandorf. On the wet and cold night it was all Tigers. Liberty Center opened up with a 2 goal lead at half and expanded it to 3-0 in the second half. The Pirate offense could not put one at the back of the net. Tigers 3-0, final.
Continental season ends with a 7-9-1 record. Liberty Center improves to 6-9-1 and will travel to Evergreen High School on Tuesday night where they will face Ottawa Glandorf, an 8-0 winner over #9 Swanton. The other side of the bracket has #2 Delta taking on #4 Evergreen.
