Thursday night saw Continental High Girls soccer team looking to start another win streak by traveling to Spencerville. Playing on the fast Bearcat turf took some adjustments for the Pirates and it looked like the two teams were going into a scoreless deadlock at half. But with just 2:48 left in the half the Pirates crossed the field from West to east and Morgan Dockery took the Maeci Dockery pass for a weak side goal from the 10. It was all Pirates in the second half as Maeci Dockery made some moves along the goal line and lined up a shot that hit the back of the net from the 6 with 10 minutes gone in the second half. 3 minutes later the Bearcats were called for a handball in the penalty box and Mackenzie Shock’s hard shot eluded the goalie for the Pirates 3-0 lead. Ava Sheeter made it 4-0 Pirates when she took a Breece Prowant pass for the 40 and took a shot from the 12 that went in. Pirates 4-0 final.
Maeci Dockery led the Pirates with a goal and an assit. Morgan Shock, Makenzie Shock, and Ava Sheeter all scored a goal for the Pirates. Breece Prowant picked up an assist.
Mackenzie Niese picked up the shutout win in goal for the Pirates with 2 saves. The Pirates outshot the Bears 20-2, 12-1 on goal. The Pirates had 3 corner kicks.
