April 4, 2025 by Adam Donaldson

Continental Ace and defending Putnam County League Player of the Year Gracie Homier pitched a no-hitter against visiting Pandora Gilboa.  The only thing that kept Homier from a perfect game was a walk.  Nothing held the Pirate offense back as they took a 5-0 lead after 1.  Made it 10-0 after 2.  Added 3 runs in the third Pirates 13-0.  A final 3 runs in the fourth put the Pirate final total at 16.  Pirates 16-0 winner.  The Pirates pounded out 11 hits with 5 being for extra bases.  The Pirates showed speed as they stole 12 bases.

Cassie Pier led the Pirate with a triple and a single, was hit by a pitch, 2 runs scored, had 3 RBIs and stole 2 bases. Gracie Homier had a triple and a single, a walk, scored 3 runs, drove in a run and stole 3 bases.  Kenzie Searfoss homered and walked, scored 2 runs, stole a base, and drove in 3 runs.  Mallorie Barnhart had 2 hits, scored 2 runs, and stole 2 bases.  Maeci Dockery hit a double, scored 2 run and drove in 3.  Ava Homier hit a double, scored 2 runs and stole a base.  Cheyenne Goings had a hit, stole a base, scored and drove in a run.  Macie Clemens got a hit and drove in a run.  Micalin Basinger drew a walk and scored a run.  Becca Stark drew a walk.  Kimberly Grant drove in a run.  Mackenzie Niese scored a run.
