Pirate Softball Even Record With Win Over Hornets

Thursday night saw Continental High Softball take the road for a non league game against Cory Rawson.  The Pirates put runs on the board in each inning for the win.  The Pirates scored 1 in the first and added 2 more in the second to take a 3-0 lead.  The Pirates plated 2 more runs in the third to make it 5-0 Pirates.  The Pirates put 3 runs across in the fourth to make it 8-0 Pirates.  6 runs in the fifth put the Pirates up 14-0.  The Hornets would score a run in the bottom of the fifth.  Pirates 14-1 winner.
The Pirates had 14 hits on the game.  Kenzie Searfoss led the Pirates with 3 doubles, 3 runs scored and drove in a pair of runs.  Gracie Homier had a double and single, scored a run and drove in a run.  Kimberly Grant hit a single and double, scored and drove in a pair of runs.  Mallorie Barnhart hit a single and double, scored and drove in a pair of runs, and stole 2 bases.  Maeci Dockery had 2 hits, scored and drove in a run, and stole a base.  Raegen Clemens had a hit, scored a run and drove in 2 runs. Becca Sullivan had a hit and scored a run.  Macie Clemens had a hit and scored 2 runs.  Cheyenne Goings had a hit and drove in a run.  Ava Homier scored 2 runs.
Gracie Homier pitched the complete game win giving up 1 unearned run, 1 hit, walking 2 and striking out 4.
Continental improves to 6-6 and will travel to Holgate on Monday.  Cory Rawson falls to 2-6.
