Pirate Sweep Shot Put at Putnam County Junior High Track & Field Meet

Camryn Clementz and Grayson Sigler both finished first for Continental in the Shot Put on Wednesday (May 6) night at the Putnam County League Junior High Meet held at Ottoville.  Mason Shaffer gave the Pirates a 1-2 sweep in the Shot Put by finishing second in the Boys event.  In addition to the Boys Shot Put the Pirates had dual placement in 4 event.  The Girls took 4th (Danielle Clementz and 5th Brynlee Vondehuevel in the Long Jump.  The Boys also had dual placement in the Long Jump with Grady Dirr taking 2nd place and Fynn Slattman taking 7th.  Dirr 6th and Slattman 8th placed in the 400M.  Sigler 4th and Shaffer 7th dual placed in the Boys Discus.  Kalida ran away with the Girls team award scoring 173 point while Pandora Gilboa was next at 118 points.  Continental placed 8th in the Girls team standing with 36 points.  The Boys team results were much closer as Ottoville 124 won by 3 points over Columbus Grove.  Continental placed 5th as a team with 55 points.
