The 2017 season saw the Pirates open up with no losses in their first 12 games as they blistered to a 11-0-1 start. With that start they garnered the first seed in the Kalida Division III District. By season end the Pirates had claimed a share of the Putnam County League crown and ended with a 11-4-2 record. Key lettermen graduating from the 2017 squad were Christian Keller was first team all District, Chris Potts and Trevor Brecht both District Honorable Mention. Overall the Pirates graduated 9 seniors last year but will start the season with 11 upperclassmen on the roster. That combined with 8 Sophomores and 6 Freshman leaves Coach Stegbauer with lots of lineup options.
The Pirates open the season on Tuesday as they compete in the Bath Kick off Classic.
