On Wednesday, Columbus Grove was host to the Putnam County League Junior High Meet. Columbus Grove swept both meets with the Pirate girls placing 5th overall 1 point away from fourth while the boys finished 6th. Alex Hoeffel led the girls team with a Long Jump Championship jump of 14’1.5”. Alex won the event by a half inch. This was almost 8 inches better than Alex’s previous best. The boys saved their best event for last as the 400 m relay team came in second place.
