Only two Pirate Basketball teams remain playing this week as the Boys Varsity start Sectionals on Tuesday and the Boys 8th Grade team compete in the Junior High tournament. The Varsity Boys, #11 seeded, will take on #7 seeded Lincolnview on Tuesday at Paulding in a OHSAA Division IV sectional semifinal in the Elida District. If the Pirates win they will take on Wayne Trace on Friday in the Sectional finals. The 8th grade boys will take on Kalida in a Putnam County League Semifinal game on Thursday at 6:15 at Fort Jennings. These two teams matched up last week with the Wildcats prevailing in overtime. If the young Pirates win, the Championship game will be held on Saturday at 10 against either Ottawa SPPS or Miller City.
