On Thursday the boys soccer game at Bryan saw both teams struggle to gain the advantage most of the game. A single minute in the second half was the difference as the Pirates put in a pair of goals to continue their season opening win streak. Continental and Bryan played scoreless in the first half and it remained scoreless till the 16:30 mark in the second half when a pass by Konnor Okuley to Westin Okuley hit the back of the net. 32 seconds later (15:58 mark) Christian Perez scored off a pass form Christian Keller. That was all the scoring for the day as the Pirates left 2-0 winners.
Westin Okuley and Christian Perez had goals for the Pirates while Konnor Okuley and Christian got the assists. The Pirates dominated the action as they held the Bears to a single shot on goal while the Pirates peppered the goal with 15 shots. Pirate Goalie Trevor Brecht got the shutout win and made 1 save.
Continental moves to 8-0 and will host Riverdale on Saturday. Bryan falls to 3-3-1. Continental took the Junior Varsity game 1-0.
