Continental Boys Basketball team moved to a 2-1 record after going to Hicksville and defeating the Aces by a 52 – 30 score. The Pirates jumped out to a 16-6 lead after one and continued to outscore the Aces in the middle quarters by 12. The Pirate had a balanced attack with 4 starters scoring at least 9. Leading the way for the Pirates was Wade Stauffer with 14, Tyler Rue had 12 and Zach Schwarzman and Austin Mansfield both had 9. The Junior Varsity also won 35-22.
The Pirates host Lincolnview tonight at the Cove. Reminder: the Volunteer Fire Department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for “Toys for Tots” at the game.
