The OHSAA DVII field at Defiance District features 5 of the top 17 MaxPrep Poll DVII poll. The Pirates garnered #2 seed and will host #4 Archbold in a Sectional Final. #3 Kalida will host #8 Pettisville in the other half of the bracket. These teams will play in a District Semifinal at Defiance with the winner playing at Defiance against a district winner from the Elida District with #2 Ada leading the group. The other teams in the Defiance draw included #1 Maumee Valley Country Day, Miller City, Evergreen, and Van Buren. These teams will advance to a District final at Norwalk. MVCD is ranked 3 in the DVII state poll, Continental 7, Kalida 14, Archbold 17 and Miller City 19.
