
It was all Continental Thursday night as the Pirates put in all the goals in the Putnam County League Boys soccer game against Fort Jennings. The Pirates got on the board first just short of 5 minutes in the game when Collin Davis put in an unassisted goal. With 27:22 left in the half Rhenn Armey made it 2-0 Pirates when he put a pass from Braxton Stegbauer in the back of the net. 3-0 Pirates when Stegbauer put in a pass from Armey with 2:32 left in the half. The Musketeers would get on the board with 20 second left in the half on a Pirate own goal. Pirates 3-1 at half.
It was all Pirates in the second half as Braxton Stegbauer put in the first 2 goals of the half to give him a hat trick for the game. Stegbauer put in a pass from Collin Davis 5 minutes into the half and had an unassisted goal with 18:33 left. Pirate 5-1. Rhenn Armey then added a hat trick in the second half along with a single goal in the first. Armey scored with 15:27 left (Jaden Pitney assist), with 4:18 left (Stegbauer assist) and with 1:15 left. Pirates 8-1 final.
Rhenn Armey led the Pirates with 4 goals and an assist. Braxton Stegbauer had 3 goals and 2 assists. Collin Davis had a goal and an assist.
Continental improves to 4-2 (1-1 PCL) and will travel to Ottoville on Tuesday for a Putnam County League match. Fort Jennings is 0-5-1 (0-2 PCL).
