Sports — A host of Continental Pirates came home with Northwest Ohio Division III All District Honors as both the boys and the girls team had 4 each on the list.
Boys Soccer
Senior Defender Dean Krendl lead the Pirates with First Team honors. Dean was the Putnam County Player of the Year and was captain for the team. The Pirates ended their season with an 11-3-4 record while making it to the District Semifinals. Seniors Trevor Williamson and Jacob Williams were named Honorable Mention All District. Junior Christian Keller was also named Honorable Mention All District.
Girls Soccer
Freshman Forward Alex Hoeffel garnered First Team honors for the Pirates. Alex was the Putnam County Player of the year and ended the season with 46 goals. The Pirates ended their season at 14-5 while making it to the District Finals. Senior Goalie Ashley Mansfield, recorded 9 shutouts on the year, was named to the Second Team All District. Seniors Paige Lawhorn and Jaylen Armey were named Honorable Mention All District.
Seniors Jaylen Aremy, Ashley Mansfield, and Kelsey Miller were named All District Academic Honors. To qualify for All District Academic Honors you have to have a GPA over 3.7.
Coach Toby Bidlack also recorded his 150 win this season. He currently has 158 wins as the Pirate Girls Soccer Coach.
