Are you ready for some fall Continental High sports action, well the season opens this week. Volleyball opens up the Pirate 2021 fall sports calendar traveling to North Baltimore on Saturday. Three more Volleyball games are planned for the week with the home opener with Wayne Trace on Thursday and additional road games at Patrick Henry (Tuesday) and Fayette on Saturday (8/28).
The Girls Soccer team open up at home when they host Spencerville on Monday. On Saturday (8/28) the Pirates will host Riverdale.
The Boys Soccer team will make the annual trip to Lima Bath on Tuesday to open the season but this time it is not for the Kickoff Classic. The last 3 times the Pirates and Wildcats have tangled it was a one goal game with the Pirates winning the last 2 games. The Boys also will travel to Maumee Valley Country Day on Thursday. The Hawks are new to the Pirate schedule. Fun fact, MVCD was founded in New York as a girls finishing school and moved to Toledo in 1884. It became coed in the 1930s.
