
Tuesday night Continental High hosted a Pettisville Boys Soccer team that was looking for their first win. They are still looking. It was all Pirates as they built a 6-0 halftime lead on their way to a 9-1 final. Collin Hammond had the hat trick but it was Rhettick Bowers who put the Pirates on the board first with 29:25 left in the half with Parker Okuley getting the save. Less than a minute later Hammond put in his first goal off a Jackson Bidlack assist. Pirates 2-0. With 19:41 left Hunter Varner converted a Preston Wilson pass to put the Pirates up 3-0. Two minutes later it was Pirates 4-0 as Okuley scored off a Monty Rayle assist. With 6:17 left in the half Hammond scored his second goal. Pirates 5-0. Bowers finished off the first half scoring with his second goal with Hammond getting the assist. Pirates 6-0 at half. Hammond would pick up his third goal of the game with less than 2 minutes gone in the second half. Varner picked up the assist. 9 minutes into the second half Bidlack would make it 8-0 Pirates off a Varner pass. Camren Burgei would finish off the Pirates scoring with 26:12 left. The Blackbirds would score a goal with 11:53 left to make the final score Pirates 9-1.
Collin Hammond led the Pirates with 3 goals. Rhettik Bowers scored 2 goals. Hunter Varner had a goal and 2 assists. Parker Okuley and Jackson Bidlack both had a goal and an assist. Camren Burgei scored a goal. Preston Wilson and Monty Rayle both had an assist. Jayden Pitney picked up the win in goal and made 1 save. The Pirates had a 21-2 shots on goal advantage and a 5-1 lead in corner kicks.
Continental improves to 12-1-2 and will host Wauseon on Thursday night for Senior night. Pettisville falls to 0-13-2.
