OHSAA released the placement of Boys Basketball divisions recently and Continental will remain in DVII. Big news in the placement was Leipsic moving up to DVI. Leipsic was over the limit by 3 in the count with a corrected enrollment of 95. The DVII limit was 92. Columbus Grove will remain in DVI with a corrected enrollment of 110. Wayne Trace and 4 other schools were at the DVII upper limit of 92. Locally Montpelier also moved moved up from DVII to DVI while Wayne Trace and Ayersville moved down to DVII. Cardinal Stricth also moved up to DVII. Other schools in the Northwest District moving down to DVII are New Bremen, Gibsonburg, and Marion Local. Last year the Northwest District had 6 DVII Districts with a net lost of 2 schools in DVII it is unlikely that that number will change. Of note is that Continental had the 7th lowest corrected enrollment in the state while Fort Jenning checks in as the 13th lowest.
