Thursday saw Continental High host Senior night at the Track and Field complex with a tri meet with Ottoville and Fort Jennings. The Pirates took 10 first places in the meet along with 8 second place finishes. On the Girls side Kaylee Boecker took first in the Pole Vault and the 200M and was part of the 2nd place 4×400 Relay. Mackenzie Shock claimed 1st place in the 100M along with second place finishes in the 200M and as part of the 4×400 Relay. Cassie Pier took first in the Shot Put. On the boys side Brady Thomsen took 1st in the shot and discus and was part of the second place 4×1000 Relay. Collin Hammond claimed 1st in the 400M and was part of the first place 4×200 Relay. Tyson Clementz got 1st in the 100M and was part of the 2nd place 4×800 Relay. Senior Collin Davis took 1st in the 200M and was part of the second place 4×100 Relay. Senior Elijah too second in the 800M and and was part of the second place 4×200 relay.
Ottoville swept the team portion of both sides of the meet while Continental claimed second place. Continental track will move into tourney mode on Thursday as they start their trip to state at the OHSAA DIII Ada District Track and Field Meet. This meet marked the last home meet for Pirate Seniors Collin Davis and Elijah Miler. Thanks for the memories and good luck in your future endeavors.
