Pitney Named to PCL Baseball First Team

Junior Jayden Pitney became the first Continental High Baseball player to make the Putnam County League First team since 2021 Blake Elkins.  Pitney was a leading hitter and pitcher for the Pirates.  Rhettik Bowers, Quinn Tegenkamp and Nolan Cordes were named to the Honorable Mention Roll.  PCL champs Miller City swept the Player of the Year with Brendan Barlage and Coach of the Year, Dusty Pester Awards.  Miller City also placed 2 players on the first team and 4 on the second team.  Columbus Grove, Kalida, and Fort Jennings both placed a pair of players on the first team while Leipsic placed one on the first team.
