1/9/16 am – At the halfway mark of the season the Putnam County League Boys Basketball race is seemingly anyone’s as six teams have claimed a least one league victory. Leipsic, Miller City, and Continental have a win and a loss to each other. Leipsic currently owns the best record overall in the league with Miller City, and Kalida also being above 500. Columbus Grove is even for the year. Fort Jennings and Continental both have 3 wins while Ottoville and Pandora Gilboa both have a single victory. It looks like the Putnam County Championship race will be an exciting one this year.
Looking forward to tournament, all the Putnam County League teams are in the Elida District this year. Sectional games will be held at Ottawa Glandorf and Van Wert.
