Falls are not a normal part of aging. There are simple steps older adults can take to reduce their risk for a fall. The Putnam County Council on Aging (PCCOA) will be offering a FREE fall prevention class called “A Matter of Balance” at the Continental United Methodist Church. The program helps participants address the physical, social and cognitive factors affecting the fear of falling and teaches fall prevention strategies to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels in order to improve flexibility, balance and strength. The MOB classes will run for 8 consecutive Wednesday’s starting April 11th through May 30th, 2018 from 10:00 am to noon. There is no charge to attend the classes, but space is limited to the first 12 registrants. Please call Jodi Warnecke at the PCCOA at 419-523-4121 or 1-800-589-8508 by March 30, 2018 to RSVP or for more information.
