Monday (July 7, 2014) brought a soaker of a rain to Continental. Some areas in Putnam and Paulding counties received 2-4 inches of rain in just an hour in the early evening. On Road B13 near North Creek, the rain gauge registered 2.1 inches of rain. Pleasant Bend residents reported 3.25 inches. Several streets in Continental briefly flooded following the storm. What looks like a river in the pictures below (taken from the Schroeder’s front yard) are Maple and Sixth Street in Continental!
