A road trip against an excellent opponent was the task for the Continental High Volleyball team on Monday night as they travelled to Arlington. The Red Devils came into the match with a 8-2 record. In a back and forth match it was the Devils who took game one 25-19. Game two went to the Pirates 25-20. The Devils regained the advantage in game 3 winning 25-22. The Pirates extended the match by taking game 4, 25-20. It was all Devils in game 5 as they took the match 15-6.
The Pirates were led by Macie Clemens with 19 kills, 4 blocks, 5 digs and 4 aces. Teaghan McDougle had 40 assists, 9 digs and 1 ace. Raegen Clemens had 15 digs and 3 aces. Aislynn Noffsinger had 25 digs and 4 aces. Kenzie Searfoss had 5 kills, 17 digs and 3 aces. Brynn Thomsen had 13 kills and 3 digs. Brynlee McDougle had 4 kills, 1 ace and 6 digs. Gracie Homier had 1 kill and 2 digs.
Continental falls to 3-6 and will travel to Kalida on Tuesday for a Putnam County League match. Arlington improves to 9-2.
