Even though October is Fire Prevention Month, it is never a bad time to make sure that your smoke alarms are functioning as designed. When we see news like that of last night’s devastating fire in downtown Columbus Grove it should remind us to check our own house and business smoke alarms. We are going into the season when wood burners, space heaters, and Christmas lights (to just name a few) are being utilized more frequently. Please take the time to check your alarms today. To those who were dispatched to the fire last night, THANK YOU for all that you do! The village extends its thoughts to those affected by this tragedy. Everyone stay safe and vigilant this holiday season!
