On Thursday night Continental Boys Varsity Basketball traveled to Pandora to take on the Rockets in a Putnam County League game. The Rockets entered the game having already sown up the PCL championship and were looking for a perfect PCL season. The game started the Rockets way as they put 17 on the board to the Pirates 10 in the first. It was all Rockets in the second as the Pirates could only muster 2 points to the Rockets 13. Pandora-Gilboa 30, Continental 12 at half. The third quarter went the Rockets way as they put in 14 to the Pirates 10. Rockets 44, Pirates 22 after 3. An even fourth quarter left the final score 54 – 32 Rockets.
Jarret Keck led the Pirates with 11 points while Caleb Olds added 8. Bryce Recker had 4 points, Nick States and Mitchell Coleman 3 each, Christian Keller 2 and Chris Potts 1. Keck and Olds both hit a pair of 3 pointers.
Continental falls to 1-20 (0-7 PCL) and will travel to Delphos St Johns on Friday. Pandora Gilboa has the first 20 win season in their history as they move to 20-1 (7-0 PCL).
