The Putnam County Dog Shelter will be open on Saturday January 29, 2022 from 9 am – Noon and Monday January 31, 2022 from 5 pm – 8 pm for additional opportunities to purchase your 2022 Dog License! Deadline to purchase dog license at the regular price is January 31, 2022. Dog license are only $16 per dog. Cash or check can only be accepted at the dog shelter and only 1 yr and Kennel License will be available.
You will be able to purchase your dog license online at www.co.putnam.oh.us and click “Online Dog Licensing” until just before 11:59 pm on January 31, 2022.
If mailing dog license form in, the envelope MUST BE postmarked on or before January 31, 2022. If you mail the form in after your post office closes on January 31, 2022, it will not be postmarked for January 31, 2022. If the post office is open, you may ask them if they will postmark your envelope for January 31, 2022. Writing your check for January 31, 2022 or before, but your mailing envelope is postmarked after January 31, 2022, your dog license form will be considered late and you will have to pay late fee.
State of Ohio Law requires all dogs over the age of 3 months to have a current dog license! We do not make the laws, we just enforce them.
