When you are attending the Continental High School Drama Department’s production of Footloose note the pulpit that Reverend Shaw Moore (Jacob Quigley) uses as it has some history to it. This prop was actually used at Keiferville United Methodist Church as the songleader podium. Keiferville United Methodist Church has been closed for around 20 years and sat on the location that is currently hosts the Propane tanks of Cherry’s Propane. The songleader’s podium sat in a members barn for all these years waiting to be used. When the podium that was planned to as a prop for the show broke it was a short search to find this replacement as Kieferville United Methodist Church property had been used in the Performances of Once Upon a Mattress and Annie. Ornate Green Chairs with Gold trim were similar barn finds that found their way onto the stage.
Plan on attending the Continental Drama Club presentation of Footloose on Friday March 18 (7pm), Saturday March 19 (7pm) and Sunday March 20 (2:30 pm)and witness a great performance and see a prop with history.
