Pirate Senior Bryn Tegenkmap was named to the Girls Basketball Putnam County Leagues First Team. The last Lady Pirate to garner 1st team honors was Paige Ordway back in 2014. Tegenkamp led the Pirates with 295 points (12.8 points per game) but her hallmark was defense as she established a new PCL record with over 130 steals in a season. Last year Tegenkakmp had 122 steals to put in her fifth place for most steals in a season and she earned second team honors for that. Congrats to Bryn for stealing her way to All PCL 1st team.
Pirate Senior Olivia Logan and Freshman Olivia Crossgrove earned PCL Honorable Mention. Logan was the Pirates second leading scorer with 102 points. Crossgrove put in 61 points in her first high school season and was a force on the inside for the Pirates.
PCL Champs Leipsic swept the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year categories. Viking Whitney Langhals was named Player of the Year and Coach Gary Krienbrink was named Coach of the Year.
The 2022-23 Pirates were coached by KC Knowles.
