Terry L Sigler, 1959 – 2023

March 18, 2023 by Adam Donaldson Leave a Comment

OTTAWA – Terry L Sigler, 63, was called up to the field of dreams after a fearless battle with a rare leukemia on March 16, 2023, at 10:33am. He was born on August 27, 1959, to Donald and Ruth (Warner) Sigler, both precede him in death. On October 17, 1981, he married the love of his life Kimberly (Wagner) Sigler, she survives in Ottawa.

Terry is survived by three children: Joshua (Michele), Jacob, Jenna (Shane Wilson); one grandchild, Oliver Sigler; brother: Ted (Shelia) Sigler; sister: Teresa (Scott) Featheringham. He also leaves behind his faithful dogs, Jackie, and Josie, who never left his side.

Terry was a 1977 graduate of PGHS. He was a dedicated employee of LP/Weather Seal, Wausau Homes and Clarios. He truly loved his work and the people he worked with. His passion for the work that he did was felt by all.

Terry was a man of many interests. He was an avid fan of auto racing and attended every Indianapolis 500 starting in 1977. Terry also attended the many other races ranging from the Putnam International Trailway to the 24 hours of Le Mans in France where he proudly proclaimed, “That ain’t racing”. A lifelong Cleveland Indians fan, Terry made a tradition out of attending every Home Opening Day with his father and children. Terry listened to every game on the radio and found endless joy attending countless games as a season ticketholder.

Terry was a lifelong Boy Scout, having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in his youth. He continued his involvement in scouting throughout his life, serving as a Scout leader and mentor to countless young men including guiding both of his sons to the rank of Eagle. Terry loved sharing his passions with his friends, family, and children.

Terry will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and his unwavering commitment to his family, friends and community. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 24. 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, and again on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10 a.m. at New Creation Lutheran Church, Ottawa with Pastor Ken Pollitz officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.  Luncheon to follow the service.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
