The Continental Lions Club and the Continental Blue & Gold Club will host the annual John Mansfield Memorial Jr Olympic Field & Track Meet on Saturday, September 16 at 1:00 pm. The meet will be held at the Continental High School Track. Ages 4-13 can compete in 3 events. The rain date will be Sunday, September 17 at 3pm. Forms were passed out at school and can be returned to the school. Same-day registration begins at 12:30.
This annual event has spanned many years in our community. John Mansfield was a talented high school athlete and had a passion for track and field events throughout the remainder of his life. John was instrumental in helping to carry on the Lions Club tradition of Jr. Olympics in Continental. The Lions Club the Continental Blue & Gold Club invite all the young athletes to join in an afternoon of challenging fun.
