On Thursday night the Continental Girls Basketball team made their second road trip of the season to Holgate for a non league encounter. The Tiger Den was not a happy place for the Pirates as the Tigers came after them from the start. Holgate opened the game by taking a 16-5 lead after 1. Their lead was expanded to 21 at half 29-8. The second half the road was a lot more friendly as the Pirates put 10 on the board the end of the third quarter was Tigers 4,0 Pirates 18. An even fourth left the final Holgate 46, Continental 24.
Amber Logan led the Pirates with 7 points. Addy Armey scored 6 while Kaitlyn Alvarado put in 4. Brooke Bradford, Katie Keller, and Ashley Mansfield had 2 each. Kerri Prowant finished with 1.
Continental falls to 0-7 while Holgate improves to 3-2. The Pirates next host Defiance on Tuesday.
