A close game through 4 innings took a turn in the 5th when Continental hosted Liberty Center in non league baseball. A scoreless affair after 4 turned the Tigers way as they plated 5 in the 5th and 6 in the sixth to take the shoutout win. Tigers 11, Pirates 0.
Rhettik Bowers started the game for the Pirates and held the Tigers scoreless giving up 1 hit and striking out 5. Jayden Pitner took the loss going 1.2 innings giving up 9 runs (5 earned) on 4 hits, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts in 3.2 innings . Nolan Cordes finished off the game going .2 inning giving up 2 runs and 4 hits. The Pirates were no hits and made 3 errors. Continental falls to 0-1 and will travel to Wayne Trace on Monday. Liberty Center improves to 1-0.
