Per the Putnam County Health Department, “The Ohio Department of Health announced today that there will be some changes in how COVID-19 cases will be identified. Currently, ODH is only reporting laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19. With the upcoming change, probable cases will also be reported.” The Putnam County Health Department also stated that, “With the new reporting system, there will likely be a sharp increase in the total number of COVID-19 cases reported in Ohio and in Putnam County.”
