Do you have old eyeglasses sitting around? Would you like to get rid of them while helping someone less fortunate? Modern Eyecare will be making their Lions Recycle for Sight collection box available for donations during the Continental Fall Festival. The box will be located at the Lions Club food booth at the EMS building.
Any collected eyeglasses are cleaned, sorted by prescription strength and packaged by volunteers at regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers. Recycled glasses are then distributed to people in need in communities where they will have the greatest impact. Many of these glasses are used on medical mission trips to developing countries.
Drop off your used eyeglasses, reading glasses, and prescription or non-prescription sunglasses next weekend!
