ATTENTION: The village will be flushing fire hydrants beginning May 16th through the end of next week starting around 10:30 AM. This spring flushing is meant to not only test water pressure but also help clean the water lines to improve water quality. Residents may see a drop in water pressure during the flushing when the water department is in their neighborhood. Typically, this process can take up to 30 minutes per hydrant depending upon the need. It is recommended to do this preventative maintenance measure twice a year (spring & fall). It is recommended to AVOID washing any white laundry that week as well. If you must wash whites, we suggest using Iron Out (rust stain remover) or other similar type products.
