Virginia Rose Wesche, age 71 of Defiance, passed away on February 13, 2022 at Henry Co. Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio.
She was born on December 30, 1950 to Howard and Lois (Wight) Weller in Defiance, Ohio. On December 17, 1982 she married Robert Wesche, who survives.
Virginia was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree and worked at U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Foods For Living in Defiance. She loved to breed and sell Iris flowers. Virginia enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Robert Wesche of Defiance, her mother, Lois Weller of Continental, OH, her son, Shawn (LaDonna) Tingler of Wapakoneta, OH, her stepsons, Richard (Mary) Wesche of Gulf Port, MS and Dennis Wesche of Eaton, OH, her stepdaughter, Shannon (Travis) Couch of Ft. Myers, FL, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her brother, Michael (Jane) Weller of Continental, OH.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Weller.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Due to CDC guidelines if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance, with Pastor Kurt Mews officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
